Based on the outstanding performance of the housing business, which began with the construction of Apgujeong Hanyang Apartment and the first new town in the 1980s, Hanyang has become a top brand. Since then, Hanyang has established itself as an elite company in civil engineering through social infrastructure and public works projects to create better living space with its unique architecture aesthetics and technology covering all aspects of construction. In the plant business, we generate high added value based on accumulated know-how and continuous innovation. In addition, we are creating new values as a leading company in the construction industry by promoting specialized development projects such as large-scale urban and leisure development projects in line with changes in economic structure. Hanyang will not settle with the current status and is working hard to reorganize its main business structure around the two pillars of 'energy business' and 'housing development project' to create tangible results.
In 2012, we established business in the LNG terminal, biomass, solar energy industry, and we also established Gwangyang Green Energy Co., Ltd. in 2015 in order to specifically promote biomass power generation projects. In 2020, the 874,000㎡ "Northeast Asia LNG hub Terminal Project" was approved by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, which officially began our projects in the LNG sector. In addition, we will expand our business in the renewable energy sector through solar power complexes and biomass development, which is close to launching. We are also expanding in high value-added industries such as housing development, complex development, urban development, and national land development. Hanyang's foundation of yesterday and the potential of today is the engine that promises a new and bright future.
