Hanyang has led the development of the national energy industry based on its large-scale construction capabilities such as LNG storage tanks, main pipes, and vaporization transmission facilities, which are needed to store and supply large amounts of gas. Based on our best energy plant capabilities, we will continue to carry out the entire process of energy business reliably and successfully, from site selection and development to securing demand and licensing.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is a colorless, transparent liquid that cools natural gas to minus 162 degrees for mass transportation and storage and compresses it to 1/600 in volume, and is used as fuel in various environments such as home, industrial and power generation. In particular, the demand is expected to continue to increase as the number of environmental pollutants emitted is significantly lower than conventional coal fuels.
The LNG terminal consists of facilities for unloading, storing, vaporizing, and transmitting, and is a facility that converts the imported liquid LNG brought to Korea into a gas state and supplies it to the markets that need it. In addition, hydrogen-related businesses such as bunkering which supplies fuel to ships and hydrogen fuel cell are also possible.
In Northeast Asia, which is responsible for more than two-thirds of the world's LNG transactions, we will establish an international hub that provides comprehensive logistics, finance, and gas trading services to gas acquisition and storage facilities for free trade among various countries, especially between Korea, China, and Japan.
